This restaurant offers a stunning introduction to Basque cuisine, bringing together bold colours and flavours that feel both authentic and exciting. Having only a little knowledge of Basque food from my time in Spain, I was blown away by how diverse, delicious, and beautifully prepared each dish was. Every bite felt like a celebration of the region’s culinary spirit. If you’re considering it, don’t hesitate—this is an experience you’ll remember. But in the end.. the bill?? Omg. 53 euros? A freaking steal.

Dinner on our last night in the wonderful San Sebastian. Our waitress was lovely 13Aug and despite being particularly busy because of the festivities always had a smile on her face...Makes all the difference. Thank you for a great meal and the Godello wine was excellent and amazingly well priced, so we had 2 bottles

Eskerrik asko! This place is amazing. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The food is diverse and delicious. They have outdoor and indoor service, we sat outside and the service was fast and friendly. We chose an array of pintxos and portions (large sized dishes) for two separate visits. The pork cheeks, prawn skewers, and scallops were exceptional for a menu that didn’t have a bad bite. I cannot recommend this place more highly. Already dreaming of returning.

Went there for dinner, we had made a reservation about 1h before. Good because there’re only about 7/8 tables and they were all reserved. The waitress (long dark hair with pink in it) was very friendly and efficient. The food is good a very nice size for a very fair price. We got the calamari’s as appetizers and it’s perfect to share (there’re a lot in the plate), just too bad they don’t serve it with a little spicy sauce or some homemade spicy mayo on the side but it’s just my preference. We got the tuna, the hake fish and a steak. I eat my meat well done and it was perfectly cooked (most cook usually just burn it but not there). Again the portions are big, after splitting 3 appetizers amongst us 3 we were already almost full. But it didn’t stop us to split a dessert at the end, the Torrija caramelized (type of sticky french toast) with cinnamon ice cream, it was excellent. I recommend this place and will go back when in the area again for sure.

An outstanding restaurant in a non-touristy area! I'd already spent an evening in the the Old Town and would be happy to avoid it for a couple of years. The busy street of "Matia Kalea" and the Antiguo area of the city in general is far superior (in my opinion), and I'd be happy to eat there daily. TrikuHarri Taberna Jatetxea is an absolute gem of a restaurant filled with locals enjoying authentic Basque cuisine. My wife and I had a decadent lunch of mussels, sausages, salads, potatoes, croquettes, beef cheeks, and a grilled fillet steak, topped off with an 8km walk along San Sebastians beautiful beaches.

Amazing food, great prices, great service, must try in the area!! We went every night

After trying several places in the old part of town I couldn't help to get the feeling that the constant flock of tourists trying to find an empty chair had led them to get cocky, so we decided to go off the beaten path and explore the less popular parts of the town where we found this gem. In a city that is _de facto_ a sea of places to eat is hard to stand out and yet these people have succeeded, the reasons can be found among these reviews. Our food was delicious, the place although small and busy doesn’t feel cramped (although it’s advisable to call first in order to secure a table) the young lady who waited on our table couldn’t be nicer and everything we ordered made us realize that at the kitchen they know what they're doing. There are fancier places in San Sebastian, of course, but if you factor in the prices you pay here for the food this may very well be Donostia's BEST. That simple.

Saw this restaurant while walking around the neighbourhood, it was packed, which is a good sign. So decided to give it a try. And I’m so happy I did try it out, the food here is really yummy. Best dish for me was the pan fried squid, it tasted so good. Only dish I did not enjoy was the pan fried fish, too many scales, but everything else was good. Service is abit slow, cause they have only 1-2 staff, so just be patient, but they are all really nice and friendly.
